Black and White Collection

Somewhere between studying and work, I found some time to bead this fall!  Here's a peak at some clay pendants and ear rings I'm working on for the 2009 Christmas collection.  Kudos to my sister for all of her photo work!

Interested in how these were made?  Check out my post on the clay art process.

Pink & White Pearl Earrings

I designed these very girly pink and white pearl earrings on the way to my sister's house this weekend. Together with a nice blouse, these ear rings are perfect for softening the look of a suit.

97 Year Old Supermodel

Here's Gram wearing her new pearl and crystal ear rings on Christmas Eve. I think the dainty style fits her small frame and the sparkle matches her beautiful smile.

A little more about Gram: I met my sister-in-law's Grandma about 7 years ago. Widowed in WWII, this amazing 97 year old woman still lives by herself, drives, plays with young children, knits for the homeless, and makes a delicious Selskops pudding - a favorite dessert from her Norwegian heritage. The last several holidays she's watched me make jewelry, patiently sitting near me and showering me with compliments. She's even accompanied me on a Michaels run and witnessed my addition to beading first hand. During the times I've sat with her beading she's shared in amazing detail the story of her childhood, marriage, and life in NYC. I am constantly amazed at her intellect, sharp mind, and kind spirit. I can't wait to design a '100 year' celebration birthday set for her!

Beautiful in Copper Tones

This longer polymer clay necklace is the perfect accessory for a turtleneck or cozy winter sweater. I styled this one with my sister-in-law's red hair and green eyes in mind. Doesn't she look beautiful in copper tones!

Snowy Greetings

I made a few cards to go with jewelry gifts. I'm lovin' my new stampin' up tree set. Add a little silver embossing power and it looks like the snowy pine trees in my back yard. It's the perfect snowy Boston greeting for my British colleagues. During my last winter visit to the UK a dusting of snow caused grid lock traffic. I can't image what they'd think of our last 2 snow storms. :-)

Looking for the Perfect Stocking Stuffer?

I like to give away lots of jewelry...then, wait to see which pieces are a hit. It lets me see which designs I should keep or abandon. From the recent buzz, it seems that most people like the "flying aphids." However, much to my husband's dismay, for marketing purposes I've decided to rename the pattern "Snowflake." Fashioned into ear rings and elegantly wrapped in a box, these Snowflake beads makes a perfect stocking stuffer. Alternately, I can put them in an organza bag so that you can attach them to the top of gift box.

Friends & family - Let me know if you're interested in purchasing any for Christmas. I'll take orders through Thansksgiving. $10 a pair ~ includes the box or bag + personal delivery. You can pick from burgandy, teal, copper or black. I'm heading back to PA for Thanksgiving, so I can make deliveries to Grove City, Beaver County and Eastern PA. Just shoot me an email with the number, color, and wrapping choice (box/bag).

Return of the Flying Aphids

I've been on the road for about a month and wasn't prepared for our global marcom week at work. Thankfully, I work with a wonderful team who took care of every last detail in my absence. As a thank you for their help, I made a few sets of ear rings with the "flying aphid" design - see my August post for a little background on the name. I attached them to 'Thank You' notes with a simple paperclip and a ribbon.
